The history of Asics isn't as familiar to the sneakerhead community at large as that of brands like Nike or adidas, who have had their stories retold many times by many different channels.
That makes this Asics Tiger history book all the more valuable. The promotional piece stretches way back into the brand's archives, making sure to give space to rarities like the Marathon Tabi from 1953 or the Onick Ski Boot from 1972, all while giving proper due to more celebrated silhouettes like the Asics Gel Lyte III. The book comes as Asics is focusing on rebranding its lifestyle/retro offerings under the Asics Tiger imprint, an imprint that relies heavily on this sort of history.
Unfortunately it looks like this Asics Tiger history book won't be on sale for the time being. As of now, the only way to get a copy is via Size?, who will be giving them away with purchases of its Asics Gel Lyte III collaborations.
