Barcelona's 24 Kilates has a habit of mixing bits of Spanish culture into its footwear collaborations, a habit that continues on its Asics Gel Respector project.
The shoe nods to Spain's extra virgin olive oil with green, yellow and purple sections standing in for the component olives mixed into the product. Things get more literal on the insoles where graphics from the olive oil production process appear.
Following its debut at its home store, which came complete with a bag and a bottle of olive oil, this sneaker will see a wider release this weekend.
The 24 Kilates x Asics Gel Respector will release at stores like Packer Shoes on Saturday, Jan. 30, for $160.
