The Asics Gel Kayano has been sort of slow to move in terms of collaboration releases, and the Footpatrol so far has been the only one to really fly off the shelves.
What's the reason? One could blame it on the quality of the looks that the partnering entities created, or one could blame it on an overall disinterest in the Asics Gel Kayano. If the latter is the case, Asics hasn't caught on yet. The brand will continue to retro the shoe, and in fact just released this new version that splits its time between suede and mesh. The shoe dips down into the grey shades like only a handful of Kayano releases before it, and features a blazing bit of gold fusion to brighten things up.
