Following today's official unveiling, the Jordan Brand provides this Air Jordan XX8 designer insights video featuring Vice President of Special Projects & Design Tinker Hatfield and Jordan Brand Developer Josh Heard. The design duo breaks down the new game shoe, including the stealth-inspired design and updated performance technologies.

"With the ongoing evolution of the game shoe, I encourage our entire function to push the boundary when it comes to design, technology and performance," said Tinker Hatfield. “The Air Jordan XX8 shoe really is basketball’s answer to the concept car.”

Problem with the last 5 Jordans is that the technology is ther but they lack any sort of memorable qualities to last the test of time

rename the parts of the shoe all you want: the carbon fiber is the same, the out sole hasn't improved since they started using herringbone, and the price to have a little jumpy guy on the shoe is getting friggin ridiculous. let me know when they've actually created something new without breaking the bank (like with Kobe and KD) and I'll care what JB is putting out again, maybe.

You know, I actually dislike this shoe more now after seeing the design sketches. This shoe reminds me of one of my least favorite Jordans, the 2009s. Ugh. It also reminds me of Nike's Flightposite. While I wasn't a big fan of the Flightposite, it was way better looking than the XX8.

alot of people are giving these shoes hell.. yes they are different but retroes arent going to last a lifetime, and the purpose of Jordans is to play basketball, these are obviously basketball shoes not casual wear, they look weird yes but on the court if they are suppose to help you perform better then hey these shoes are worth the penny...
