When the "Photo Blue" Air Jordan Retro 9 first went into production, the factory churned out a massive amount of pairs with an incorrect outsole. The final product set to hit retail in November rides atop a white rubber outsole, while the initial batch produced was bottomed off in black. Jordan Brand officials managed to resolve the issue mid-production, but were still left with thousands of these "error" pairs. What to do with them? Nobody really knows at the moment, but a few pairs have managed to trickle out.

If you're a fan of the black sole, ronimo1989 is selling a pair on eBay.
