The Air Jordan 9 returned heavy in 2012, with drops including the popular "Olive" and "Cool Grey" colorways, the "Kilroy Pack" and Pollito's Doernbecher Hospital design. Despite the flood of releases, some Retro 9s were scrapped before hitting retail, including this sample colorway that surfaced today.
Tagged for Holiday '12, this pair features a black nubuck upper with dark grey working the mudguard overlay, tongue, inner lining and laces. Mesa Orange provides subtle pop on the tongue and Jumpman branding, globe border and '23' embroidery on the heel. Below sits a grey midsole and mostly white rubber outsole.
As of now, this unreleased colorway will probably stay that way. You can add the sample to your collection by bidding on jordunk23's eBay auction today.
