Next year, the Jordan Brand will go back to where it all started by releasing an Air Jordan Retro 1 run in a few original colorways. One of the more anticipated drops is the Black/Royal colorway, which has been on a somewhat lengthy hiatus since last being released in 2001.

Sneakerheads are particularly excited about this re-release due to the high-cut and Nike Air branding we've spotted in sample photos. Hopefully that will stay consistent by the time the final product ships out.

As of now, the Black/Royal Air Jordan Retro 1 High will land at retail locations for $140 on Saturday, February 16. Expect quantities to be very limited.

These should be $100, not $140. Retail on '01 Mids was $80. That's gettin close to DOUBLE cost in a decade! Unacceptable. Sadly, it's one of those "don't cop now at retail, pay 1.8 times retail later" situations that'll more or less force me to cough up $140. I don't think I'll be buyin anything between now & then.

...still want '01s tho but happy these are HIGH's like OGs, which technically is a first-ever retro for these!
