Air Jordan Retro 6 "Olympic" // 2000 vs 2012

words & images // Luis Sanchez

Twelve years ago, Jordan Brand laced a young Ray Allen and veteran Vin Baker with an Olympic Air Jordan Retro 6 that would immediately become one of the most coveted Air Jordan styles ever. Fast forward to 2012, and the now classic model is back again alongside a slew of Olympic-inspired Jordan releases in celebration of this year's Summer Games.

At first glance, the 2012 Olympic 6 appears identical to the 2000 release version, but after a closer look, we noticed quite a few differences between the two versions of the iconic navy, white and red sneaker.

With everything from different lathers to slightly darker hues and different laces, the 2012 Olympic Retro 6 definitely owns a look of its own. Enjoy a peek at six differences between the two versions as we near the return of the much-anticipated Retro this weekend.

Still dope, just ordered mines off the crooked threads restock. I never wear them when they come out anyways. I always wait a couple months. Im still rocking J's from 2006.
Both look good. I like the slight tweak
I wish I had both jordan classics
