While arguments can be made for many styles and colorways, the 'Chicago' Air Jordan 1 is the defining Air Jordan. The shoe started the frenzy in 1985 and will come full circle when it re-releases again this weekend.  Excluding the patent version that dropped in 2003, the 'Chicago' 1 has been retroed just twice before — once in 1994 and again in 2013. This year's retro come in the midst of a strong resurgence for the Air Jordan 1 and marks the first time since '94 that it features the original high-cut and Nike Air branding.
In remastering retros, Jordan Brand has promised to deliver shoes that are as close to the original as possible. Before the 'Chicago' 1 officially returns this weekend, see how it stacks up against the original from '85, as well as the middle two retros, courtesy of Rolo Tanedo Jr. aka dunksrnice.
Note:Â all comparison shots are sequenced 1985 vs. 1994, 1985 vs. 2013 and 1985 vs. 2015.
