Air Jordan 7 'French Blue' with a Hint of Wizard

A look back at Rip Hamilton's version of the retro colorway.

Originally released in 2002, the 'French Blue' Air Jordan 7 made to retail just in time for Michael Jordan's final season with the Washington Wizards. While Jordan did wear the retro during a December game against the New Jersey Nets, this Wizards-themed Player Exclusive version was created for former teammate and Jordan Brand family member Richard 'Rip' Hamilton.

Retaining the general features of the 'French Blue' retro, the PE does bear a few differences that align it with the scheme of the Wizards. Most notably, touches of copper fill the angles of the heel tab, midsole and outsole. Otherwise, it's a shoe very similar to the pair that re-released earlier today.
