When it comes to Air Jordans, there's the original 14 and then the rest. Each of the original fourteen models is attached to an iconic Michael Jordan moment — even the Air Jordan 9, but the Air Jordan 14 came dangerously close to missing out on the moment that defines its legacy.

Jordan debuted the then mysterious sneaker in Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals, a 96-54 blowout of the Utah Jazz. He laced up the Jordan 14 again in Game 4, but switched back to the Air Jordan 13 for what should have been the championship-clinching Game 5. However, the Bulls laid an egg at home and let the Jazz escape with a narrow 83-81 victory. The "Last Shot" could (and probably should) have been the "Playoff" Air Jordan 13.

But no need to harp on hypotheticals. Chicago went on to make history in Game 6, in which Jordan's last shot as a Bull proved to be the game-winner — and he made it wearing the Air Jordan 14.
