The Brand with The Three Stripes Ditches The Stripes

The adidas ZX Flux gets even more minimal by ditching the three stripes branding.

by Brendan Dunne

The adidas ZX Flux skimped out on the details from the get-go, losing many of the lines from its ZX 8000 predecessor.

Taking it even further is this new pack from adidas, which strips one of the last semblances of branding off the sides of the shoes (ignore the black sheep white pair included in the above image). The build here is the mesh one, although there's no doubt that certain readers are salivating at the idea of forthcoming printed pairs that also ditch the stripes in order to let the upper's graphics breathe better. The "Stripeless" set of adidas ZX Fluxes isn't available in the U.S. yet, but Afew has them for those willing to import.
