Adidas' new 3D printed midsole debuted as part of its FutureCraft design concept last month. Still being tested in the prototype phase, FutureCraft tooling reimagines the way midsoles are created, moving away from traditional foam-based technology to more breathable lattice structure.
FutureCraft likely won't officially release for quite some time, but that didn't stop graphic artist Federico Maccapani (MBROIDERED) from imagining what it'd look like used on arguably the brand's hottest silhouette — the Yeezy 350 Boost.
Moonrock, Pirate Black and Beluga colorways have all been treated to FutureCraft 3D printed soles in this series of renderings, and they all flow really well. Despite Kanye West's hang-ups with 3D printing, this would be an idea worth revisiting when FutureCraft is ready to launch.
