Adidas is re-engineering one of its most popular shoes for the skate scene.
After honoring legendary riders Kareem Campbell, Richard Angelides, Joey Bast and Drake Jones with special edition Superstars, adidas has decided to push the envelope a little further.
This is the Superstar Adv, made specifically for skateboarding. The upgraded design features performance tweaks such as a reduction in weight and bulk and an ADIPRENE drop-in midsole/sockliner targeted for impact protection. Other details include a re-working of the traditional Three Stripes that lets them lie flush along the upper and Vector Traction on the outsole providing a more durable grip.
The adidas Superstar Adv is available now at adidas.com, as well as select adidas Skateboarding retailers, for $80. Look out for more colorways to follow in November.
