Following last week's unveiling of the Samba Primeknit, adidas now provides us with an initial look at the first ever knitted soccer cleat and sock hybrid — the Primeknit FS.

The Primeknit FS features a unique sock silhouette design that will provide a second-skin feel and perfect fit from toe to calf. Ball-to-foot touch improves in comparison to cleats with traditional overlays, edges or laces.

Primeknit FS is currently in the design phase while adidas works with top players to finalize development of the product for its on-field debut later this year. The one-piece design and strong light yarns are expected to provide new levels of flexibility and comfort with stability and strength equal to that of conventional cleats. Each yarn is protected by a high precision coating that guarantees water resistance in all conditions.

Like the adidas Samba Primeknit, the Primeknit FS is equipped with technology that provides optimized and engineered zones for different performance needs of each player in a single layer.
