Professional golf's four most prestigious tournaments are also known as the Major Championships, or simply the Majors. The lineup consists of the Masters in April, the U.S. Open in June, the British Open in July and the PGA Championship in August. To celebrate the 2012 Major Championship season, adidas Golf will be releasing four limited edition versions of their Samba golf shoe, each inspired by one of the major tournaments.
Commemorating the season opener, the Masters Samba is inspired by the vibrant colors, heritage and traditions of Augusta National. Dark Green/Sun/White available now.
The U.S. Open Samba is inspired by the historic Olympic Club in San Francisco and the patriotic stars and stripes in the United States flag. New Navy/Power Red/ White available on May 1.
Celebrating one of the world’s premiere links courses, this Open Championship design is inspired by “Union Jack," the national flag of the United Kingdom. Brit Blue/ University Red/White available June 15.
For the PGA Championship, a Samba inspired by the warm beaches surrounding Kiawah Island and the epic scenery found in the region of South Carolina. Pool/Half Orange/White available July 15.
