In 1984, adidas released the Centaur alongside classic models like the Micropacer and LA Trainer. The light, breathable runner was made for the road and other hard surfaces. Described as a technical classic of its era, the Centaur was designed to support the rear foot and prevent over-pronation and over-supination.
Today, as part of Originals' Fall/Winter '13 range, adidas presents the CNTR, an all-new interpretation of the sleek 80s runner. First available in primary block colorways, the CNTR maintains the lightweight concept of the original, while adding touches like welded synthetic nubuck overlays to modernize the look.
