The Chinese New Year isn't until Feb. 19, but adidas Originals is getting ahead of the curve with the promise of this set celebrating the zodiac turn.
While other brands will no doubt be heavy-handed with their Year of the Goat tributes, this capsule from adidas isn't too blatant in its connection to that animal. Instead, the group focuses on the colors traditionally associated with Chinese New Year celebrations (along with some Eastern Han Dynasty references), which creates something more timeless. The group is mostly retro sneakers, including the adidas Forum, the adidas Superstar 80s, and more, but there are also modern entries like the adidas ZX Flux. This new group of adidas sneakers is set to release on Jan. 15, 2015.
