Originally released in 1982, the Copa Mundial is the best-selling soccer cleat in history and has been worn by all-time greats like Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini, Zico and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. The final product innovation created by adidas founder Adi Dassler, the Copa Mundial has sold more than 10 million pairs since its initial launch.

Slightly modified since being designed for the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain, the Copa Mundial continues to be made in Scheinfeld, close to adidas Headquarters in Germany. The cleat features a kangaroo leather upper and additional leather rands on the heel intended to improve durability and stability. The new cleat maintains the same qualities and feel of the traditional version, but the colorway has been reversed with white being the prominent color, launching the boot into the modern game.

A limited amount of white Copa Mundials will be sold tomorrow exclusively at adidas.com, soccer.com and soccer specialty stores.
