adidas Consortium Brings Sneaker Production Back to France

adidas Consortium brings it back to France with this Superstar retro.

by Brendan Dunne

In celebration of its 45th anniversary, the adidas Superstar will once again be produced in France.

This very special adidas reissue comes courtesy of the Consortium label, which has teamed up with the family-run Ateliers Heschung factory in France that created pairs for the brand back in the 1970s. The shoes wipe the branding off the back tab in line with original design specs and also feature the flatter leather tongue. While they originate in France, they'll fortunately be spreading across the globe, with a release set for December 12th (retail for the premium pair will be $220). Enjoy photos from the factory below as well as a full list of retailers in the U.S. that will be sticking the "Made in France" adidas Superstars.

UPDATE: Watch the video below for more history on the project, as well as an inside look at the family factory in France tha'ts crafting these adidas Superstars.
