adidas is again referencing the floral connections of the cities that John Wall and Damian Lillard play in.
The good thing about the new "Florist City" collection is that both of the involved athletes now have signature shoes, so the respective cherry blossom and rose looks are allowed to play out on their own sneakers rather than retro models. The adidas J Wall 1 gets a pinked out look to match the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. and the D Lillard 1 gets a deep red palette that's connected to the Rose Festival and the City of Roses at large. The latter gets extra flavorful with a printed sockliner featuring lyrics from a Lillard "4 Bar Friday" freestyle about Portland.
The adidas J Wall 1 "Cherry Blossom" ($115) and the adidas Lillard 1 "Rose City" ($105) will release on March 20 via Foot Locker and adidas.
