adidas and the NFL Have a New Deal

Despite Nike's NFL contract, adidas athletes can now sport their logo on cleats and gloves.

Nike is still the official outfitter for the NFL, but adidas is about to get a bit more visibility in the league.

ESPN reports that a deal was reached that will allow adidas athletes to wear both cleats and gloves using the brand's logo. While this is certainly a step in the right direction for adidas in terms of upping their U.S. visibility, the deal is diminished just a bit by the injuries of Robert Griffin III, the NFL athlete that they've got the most invested in with the adidas RGIII Boost Trainer.
