Today adidas launches the 6.7 ounce adiZero Feather 2, one of the lightest everyday running shoes built to help make athletes faster.
“Every athlete knows the importance of running to get faster for their sport and the adiZero Feather 2, one of the lightest running shoes on the market, will take their training to the next level,” said Mikal Peveto, director of running for adidas America. “What excites us most is the tremendous response we’ve already seen from athletes across the board – from running to football to soccer. This is more than just a shoe for runners; it’s a shoe for the athlete who wants to reach higher, jump further and be faster.”
Starring in the new campaign are Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller, who have each made the adiZero Feather 2 their offseason training shoe of choice.
“What I do off the field in training makes the difference on game day,” said Miller. “It’s called the feather for a reason. This is the lightest shoe I’ve ever run in for training.”
Included on the adiZero Feather 2 is a SprintFrame chassis, which reduces the weight of the shoe while maintaining comfort and returning energy with each stride. Freedom of motion in the front and the back of each shoe is provided by TORSION technology. Lightweight mesh SprintWeb construction provides maximum support and breathability, while adiPrene+ and an adiWear rubber sole ensure durability and traction.
