A Look Back at Ray Allen's 'Away' Milwaukee Bucks Air Jordan XIV PE

words // Brandon Richard

Before stops in Seattle, Boston and Miami, Ray Allen spent 7 seasons playing for the Milwaukee Bucks. Allen was selected 5th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1996 and immediately traded to the Bucks as part of a package for Stephon Marbury. In Milwaukee, Allen made three All-Star teams and was named to the All-NBA Team for the first time in 2001. His time with the team would come to an end in February 2003, when he was sent to Seattle in a multi-player swap that included Gary Payton.

With MJ retired for a second time, Allen was one of the players that rocked the Air Jordan XIV on-court during the 1998-1999 season. Here's a look at his 'Away' PE, black-based with Bucks-inspired purple accents and a contrasting white sole. Personalization comes in the form of number '34' embroidery on the tongue.

These amazingly detailed shots, courtesy of Pic-Sole, raise two questions. One, which team inspired Ray's best PEs? Two, when is Jordan Brand going to stop playing and bring back the 'Indiglo' XIV? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
