A History of Reebok Question Colorways

Last June, Allen Iverson's number 3 Philadelphia 76ers jersey took its rightful place in the rafters of Wells Fargo Center. Iverson played 12 seasons in Philly, averaging 27.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. He was named the 95-96 Rookie of the Year and made 11 trips to the NBA All-Star Game. In 2001, he received the league MVP award and led the Sixers to the NBA Finals. After stops in Denver and Detroit, Iverson briefly returned to the team that drafted him in 2010.

With Iverson taking it back to where it all began for him, we did the same from a sneaker standpoint. Released during A.I.'s rookie campaign in 1996, the Reebok Question is without a doubt one of the all-time iconic basketball shoes. Behind Iverson's famous crossover and explosive moves to the bucket, the Question stood out among a field of giants. The shoe featured a leather upper, pearlized (or suede) overlays, Hexalite cushioning and a translucent outsole. After it hit the market, the Question was an instant staple in court and street fashion.

Now 19 years old, the Question is more popular than ever. It seems to drop in a new colorway every other week, including collaborations with some of the world's leading boutiques and artists.

As Iverson turns 40 today, we're bringing back the history of Question colorways. This list may not include every pair — but it does include most of them.
