Several years in the making, the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS GEL Lyte III "Salmon Toe" is set to finally make its way to retail next Friday. Once thought to be a scrapped sample (and resurrected via online petition), the shoe features a predominantly navy blue upper with white Arch branding and a salmon pink toebox. High grade nubuck, leather and pigskin are some of the materials used for the shoe's construction.
In addition to the sneakers, Ronnie and his team worked a few accessories that will be available exclusively at the in-store release. A highly-detailed engraved wooden box, KITH x ASICS "Salmon Toe" t-shirt and customized dog tags will be included in a special limited edition Collector's Set.
The "Salmon Toes" will help open the new KITH retail space in Brooklyn, New York. On Friday, September 30th at 11 a.m. EST, 72 total pairs will be released in the store. Of those 72, 40 pairs will be part of the individually numbered Collector's Sets. The first 40 people in line will have the option of purchasing the Collector's Set (Box, shirt, dog tags) at the price of $200. The remaining 32 pairs will be sold at $130 and will still include the dog tags.
Can't make it to the KITH opening? More pairs will be sold at KithNYC.com at 11 a.m. EST. They'll be priced at $130 and you'll have the option of picking up the t-shirts for $28.
