Shaquille O'Neal's NBA playing days are years behind him, but the big man has stayed in the spotlight through his seemingly endless number of endorsement deals and recurring role on TNT's award-winning program, Inside the NBA. Now, O' Neal has hinted that he would be interested in expanding his resume to become a part owner of Reebok.

His history with the multi billion dollar brand is extensive. The sportswear company signed the hall of famer to an endorsement deal when he was drafted first overall out of LSU back in 1992. It would lead to a signature line throughout the '90s, which consisted of popular basketball models like the Shaq Attaq, Shaqnosis, and Shaq Attaq 4 for The Big Aristotle.

"Of course there's always a chance. I know they're owned by Adidas and I think my people have had conversations with them, and hopefully, that could come to fruition one day, I would love to be a part owner of Reebok," said the 47-year old during a recent appearance on Yahoo Finance's YFi PM. "That's my favorite brand; I remember when Reebok was number 1 in the footwear market. I would love to be the one to get them back on track."

Shaq Diesel echoed a similar sentiment this past June when he told CNBC, "I would love to buy Reebok." He went on to say he wants to help, "bring them back to basketball and to fitness."

Reebok has yet to respond to Sole Collector's request for comment.
