Thanks to Jordan Brand, director Spike Lee is ready to stunt on the 2019 Oscars red carpet tonight with a special pair of Air Jordan 3s.
According to Spike Lee's Instagram post, this one-of-a-kind design was created exclusively for Lee in honor of his three Oscar nominations tonight. Using the "Tinker" Jordan 3 as the base, the upper is decorated in an eye-catching metallic gold hue, including on the Swoosh, elephant print and tongue, which is contrasted by a red liner. The kicks' standout feature includes Lee's 40 Acres And A Mule production company branding on the heel tab, along with an oversized Jumpman logo.
This "Gold Oscars" Air Jordan 3 is not expected to release to the public. Spike Lee's film, BlacKkKlansman, is currently nominated in three categories this year: Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Lee for Best Director.
