Nike is concluding its week of Doernbecher Freestyle retros to celebrate the collection's 15th anniversary by bringing back one of the most popular pairs to ever release for the annual line, the Air Jordan 6 from 2009.

The colorway was designed by cancer patient Jordan Dark. A navy blue suede upper is accented by red detailing on the tongue, heel tab, and midsole as a nod to the team colors of his high school. Stripes are debossed into the toe box and select side panels of each shoe. Other panels are debossed with "06/08" and "04/09" logos that represent the days he started and ended his chemo treatment. White "1" logos embroidered on each heel, a gold liner, and translucent outsole complete the special design.

Today, Dark is a 21-year old who lives cancer-free. His celebrated Air Jordan 6 will return on Saturday, Feb. 23 for $190 via Nike SNKRS. All proceeds will be donated to the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.
