What was supposed to be a launch of the SoleFly x Air Jordan 1 has been postponed today due to safety concerns.

Created in celebration of Miami Art Basel, the limited edition collaboration was due to release at a secret location in the city earlier today. However, when responding to a follower on Twitter, an attendee accidentally tipped off the location ahead of the drop, prompting a hoard to converge on downtown nightclub E11EVEN. Predictably, chaos ensued, as the waiting crowd grew increasingly unruly. According to TV reporter Nester Mato, one responding officer was injured during the mayhem, causing more cops to arrive in riot gear to mediate the situation.

As of now, SoleFly has addressed today's launch with a series of tweets on Twitter confirming the Air Jordan 1 collab has been postponed until further notice.

Thank you guys for the love!

Please be patient as we organize everything to make sure this release goes as smooth as possible.

We love the energy, but it’s always safety first!

We can't thank everyone enough for the support!

Due to safety concerns the police have deemed it unsafe to release at one of our planned locations.

We are diligently working on alternate plans to make this release possible.

As safety is our number one priority, we’ve had to cancel our release today. We will reschedule our launch for a future date, thank you.
