Since its debut in 2015, the Adidas Ultra Boost has grown to become one of the most popular silhouettes in the history of the sportswear brand. A performance runner with crossover appeal, it would go on to be released in multiple iterations with minor design tweaks, and help usher in the Boost era of Adidas. Now, the Three Stripes is taking it back to the original by re-introducing the Ultra Boost 1.0 and repurposing some its most popular colorways.
The most notable return is the OG "Black/Purple" colorway. Other highlights include the "The U" and "Gig'em" pairs inspired by the University of Miami and Texas A&M, respectively. Both originally debuted as PEs for each school, but will now be getting a retail launch with updated knit patterns.
Additional colors returning include the "Triple Black," "Liberty," "Ash Pearl", "Laser Red," "Dark Granite," and "Light Granite." These retro releases will kick off on Dec. 1 with the OG Ultra Boost and conclude on Dec. 7. Expect retail pricing to fall in line with other recent Ultra Boost 1.0 retros—a slight bump up from the original $180 to $200.
