Juventus' investment in soccer sensation Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly paying off in a big way.

Reports from overseas say that the Italian football club sold a staggering 520,000 Adidas Ronaldo jerseys in 24 hours time, with Business Insider doing the math to land at roughly $62.4 million in total sales.

A shocking figure on its own, the jersey sales are even more impressive when compared to what Juventus spent to acquire the forward from Real Madrid. The transfer fee set the Italian team back $129.3 million, meaning Adidas and Ronaldo generated nearly half as much revenue in a day's time. While the bulk of the kit sales will go to Adidas, Juventus stands to rake in around $6 million to $9 million from the profits.

While Juventus is sponsored by Adidas, Ronaldo is still a Nike athlete, and has a new React FC CR7 sneaker expected to release soon.

Ronaldo's new threads are available now from retailers like soccer.com.
