Los Angeles-based fashon brand Midnight Studios has hooked up with Converse to deliver first-of-their-kind takes on the Chuck 70 and One Star silhouettes.
Keeping with the deconstructed, work in progress aesthetic seen on popular recent releases like Virgil Abloh's Off-White x Nike collection, this group breaks down two of Converse's most significant sneakers through the vision of Midnight Studios founder Shane Gonzales.
Both the Chuck 70 and One Star collabs use natural greige uppers with black accents and feature details such as raw edges, and repositioned logos.
"In the past with our collections, we’ve simply turned staple garments in everyday wardrobe inside out for a whole new look and energy, exposing raw edges and seams for a deconstructed feel," Gonzales said. "Applying this to our favorite sneakers was a no-brainer."
The Midnight Studios x Converse collaboration releases Friday, June 15 from converse.com and select retailers.
