Next Year, Jordan Brand is going back to the well and releasing an all-new lineup of Air Jordans inspired by Michael Jordan's time at Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. Jordan attended the school from 1977 to 1981 and famously didn't make the cut for varsity during his sophomore season.

In addition to two Air Jordan 5s, the Buccaneers will be honored with a new take on the Air Jordan 1 High. Pinoe77 reports that the upcoming retro is slated for a Jan. 2019 release and has linked up with ConceptLab_ and DJFolk to provide a mock-up of what to expect.

A Laney-like colorway of the Air Jordan 14 Low released in 1999, with more official school-inspired make-ups of the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 1 High dropping in 2000 and 2013, respectively. Several other less heralded models have been treated to the scheme over the years as well.

Stand by for a confirmed release date and images in the coming months.
