It's been five long years since Bodega and New Balance's 577 "HYPRCAT" collaboration, but the two Boston-based entities are finally back at it.
Although these exclusive NB1 998s aren't being touted as an official collab, it marks the first time the two have worked together since 2013. Here, Bodega covers the American-made 998 runner in various shades of suede inspired by Boston's train lines. The "Mass Transit" colorway uses an off-white base with a blend of blue, green, red, and orange suede accents.
Despite being labeled an NB1 custom, this pair includes colors that aren't available to the public on New Balance's site.
Bodega's exclusive New Balance NB1 998 "Mass Transit" drops Friday, April 27 in store at the retailer's Boston and Los Angeles locations. Any leftover pairs will be released Wednesday, May 2 from bdgastore.com at 10 a.m. ET.
