It's been 10 years since Kaws' Nike Air Max 90 Current collaboration was released, and while the scarce sneakers can be purchased from shops like Flight Club for nearly $2,000, there's a budget-friendly alternative on the horizon for spring.

Unlike the Free sole seen on Kaws' black Air Max 90 Current, this "Black/Black-Volt" take on the model uses the Air Max 90's traditional tooling. This style also lacks the artist's signature "XX" stitching and the collaboration's two-tone laces, but they're fairly similar from afar nonetheless. The new colorway uses a predominantly black upper with volt hits at the Air bag, Air Max logos, and aglets. A clear sole finishes off the look, while material reminiscent of Virgil Abloh's Off-White x Air Max 90 fills in the toebox.

Expect this Air Max 90 to hit Nike Sportswear retailers beginning in April.
