The Air Jordan 7 has seen its share of makeovers throughout the years, but one variation that's never made its way to the public is the model's low-top incarnation. That could change in a big way soon, with three limited-edition styles expected to release this summer.
According to leaker @py_rates, not only will the Air Jordan 7 Low make a retail debut, but it's also getting the NRG treatment often reserved for the brand's more exclusive and premium releases. The low-top sneaker will reportedly offer plenty of variety, as it's expected to release in three colorways including "Black/Light Graphite/Midnight Fog/Bordeaux," "Bright Concord/Black/Midas Gold/Tourmaline," and "Taxi/Black/White/Taxi."

UPDATE (07/30): Although the original rumored June release date has come and gone, py_rates is reporting that the Air Jordan 7 Low NRG is still due to release soon, with the latest bit of evidence being a group of official Nike stock images. This OG-fashioned "Bordeaux" low-top will reportedly release soon for a retail price of $140.
UPDATE (07/31): Just a day after stock images of the "Bordeaux" Air Jordan 7 Low NRG surfaced, Jordan Brand's Frank Cooke is showing off the first in-hand look at two additional colorways.
The group appears to include the previously rumored "Bright Concord/Black/Midas Gold/Tourmaline" and "Taxi/Black/White/Taxi" make ups. Despite this latest preview, no further release details have been announced, although Cooke's Instagram caption includes a reference to DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince's "Summertime," which could very well be a hint at a launch timeframe.
UPDATE (08/21): New images have surfaced of the "Bright Concord" Air Jordan 7 Low NRG, courtesy of @py_rates on Twitter. The pair will reportedly retail for $140.
