Following a period of sneaker free agency that began in 2015, John Wall re-signed with his former brand Adidas early in 2018. But despite having signature models his first time with the brand, as well as with Reebok prior to that, it appears that Wall won't be getting another as part of his new contract.

Sports Illustrated's Jon Wertheim, reports that while Wall's new deal pays him a base starting at $4.85 million, it doesn't include a signature model. It does however leave open the possibility for collaboration. His representation told Sports Illustrated that "footwear with fellow clients like Kanye West and Pharrell" are a "likelihood."

Along with that starting figure comes a long list of incentives, including $500,000 for All-Star MVP, $750,000 for All-NBA First Team, and $1 million for winning the Dunk Contest. Additionally, being named league MVP would raise his base salary by $1 million.

Since returning to Adidas, Wall has been seen frequently wearing the J Wall 1, his first signature model with the brand.
