Nike implemented another geo-specific release through its SNKRS app this week, this time planting pairs of the "Gatorade" Air Jordan 1s in 7-Eleven stores. Through the app's Stash feature, select convenience stores in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City stocked pairs of the colorful sneakers.

These Jordans are part of a wider collection created in partnership with Gatorade that celebrates Michael Jordan's 1991 "Be Like Mike" campaign. The Jordan 1s will get a global launch on Dec. 26.

The pack will finish the year with the green "Gatorade" Air Jordan 6, a shoe that has long been rumored but not fully confirmed by Nike or Jordan until now. That pair, which releases on Dec. 30 for a premium price of $225, is listed on the Nike SNKRS page now here.

Nike has updated its SNKRS app, which is often the source of limited edition and collaboration pairs, in 2017 by gamifying occasional sneaker releases like this. The SNKRS platform also now has an in-app camera used for augmented-reality drops.
