Watch This Artist Paint Michael Jordan with Air Jordan Sneakers

An artist used actual Air Jordan sneakers to complete his Michael Jordan painting.

With his unique combination of grace and explosiveness, Michael Jordan wasn't only a gifted player, but also an artist of sorts on the court. His famous signature sneakers have also been described as works of art, so it makes sense that His Airness continues to inspire those who take part in creating actual art.

As captured by in-hand sneaker photo king GC911, this artist used a pair of "Banned" Air Jordan 1s to complete a painting of a rookie Jordan competing in the 1985 Slam Dunk Contest. The paint-covered soles were used to fill in a pre-drawn portrait of Jordan, down to the same pair of sneakers he was wearing at the time.

The "Banned" Jordan 1 has been back in the news as it heads back to retail in a Flyknit iteration this weekend.
