Though Michael Jordan's days with the Chicago Bulls are long over, Jordan Brand makes sure to deliver new Air Jordan models in a variety of Bulls-inspired colorways every year. Even before Kobe Bryant's retirement, Nike Basketball had gotten skimpy with Lakers colorways of his signature models, a trend that's continued with his first post-retirement sneaker, the Nike Kobe A.D. Fortunately for fans of Showtime, there's finally a very purple take on the model heading to retail soon.
The "Purple Stardust" Kobe A.D. isn't styled in the hue you're accustomed to seeing at Staples Center. A softer variation is complemented by black logo hits, excluding LA-friendly Kobe emblems on the insoles.
Release date is set for Saturday, July 1 for $160 at nike.com and Nike Basketball retailers.
