When Adidas designers sat down to ideate the next iteration of the Pure Boost line, they wanted to create a sneaker for a group of athletes that they never catered to before: city street runners.
“It’s a different mindset for these athletes because they have a different playground,” said Stephan Schneider, senior product manager for Adidas Running. “They’re running around cars, turning around corners and people. This was something where we could really formulate an objective for a shoe.”
The end result is the Pure Boost DPR, the sportswear brand’s take on a minimal running shoe built for urban running.
