Nike's next step in its plan to build energy around the Air Force 1 involves an out-of-nowhere retro of a 2005 colorway. Yes, the Nike Air Force 1 "Easter" is coming back—a couple European retailers are listing the sneaker now as an April 17 release.
While the shoe feels slightly out of place in 2017, it was considered a must-have by many at its debut for the use of bright colors and patent leather. Still in the vaults for now is the differently colored 2006 Air Force 1 with the same theme.
Nike's not been afraid to re-release old colorways for its current Air Force 1 push, also bringing back the "Linen" Air Force 1 for a launch at Kith in 2016.
