One should always be wary of big release news being announced on April Fools' Day, but there appears to be some fire to this smoke.
According to Frank Cooker, 700 pairs of "Royal" satin Air Jordan 1s are being released today, exclusively in-store at Walter's in Atlanta and Active Athlete in Houston. Local celebrities Big Boi of Outkast and Slim Thug helped make the announcements for their respective home cities.
Pricing wasn't announced, but it should be consistent with the $175 retail tag on the "Banned" satin colorway. According to social media, lineups at both shops have already formed.
