Though it appears that Elite models will be absent from this season's Nike Basketball collection, there is a second version of the Kobe A.D. on the way.
The Nike Kobe A.D. NXT, previewed here in two colorways, is a design distinctive from the standard Kobe A.D. Featuring mesh construction, the shoe is highlighted by an affixed shroud and drawcord lacing system. Below sits a Swoosh-branded sole equipped with Zoom Air cushioning and a unique traction pattern. The Kobe logo will appear on the toggle and heel.
If anything, the NXT is the true departure the Kobe line has sorely needed for years. Expect a release sometime this spring for $200.
