Nike's Air Max Day will be bigger than ever in 2017, with March 26 marking 30 years since the original Air Max 1 made its debut. Word has it the brand will shift the occasion to Air Max Month, which will devote even more time to its most iconic line of runners.
Products are already starting to hit stores that reference the 30 year mark, like this colorful Air Max 1 retro. The shoe has insoles that read "1987" as a nod to its birth year.
Nike is also set to bring back the original white/red and white/blue Air Max 1 colorways in March. On the opposite end of the spectrum, it will take the next step forward in Air Max design with the debut of the VaporMax runner.
