Reported acts of violence surrounding sneaker culture is unfortunately an all too common occurrence. The latest case took place late on Monday night in New Bedford, Massachusetts when a 23-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint for a of "Top Three" Air Jordan 1s.

According to South Coast Today, the incident stemmed from the unnamed victim arranging a meet up to sell the sneakers at Hazelwood Park through Facebook. The man was approached by two prospective buyers, but the sale went bad when one of them pulled out a gun and ran off with the sneakers. Police responded to the call, but were unable to apprehend either of the men involved in the robbery.

The "Top Three" Air Jordan 1 retailed for $160 back in November and has seen several restocks since then. Threatening someone's over these or any other sneakers isn't even worth it.
