No camels were harmed in the making of this sneaker. But, the New Balance 999 "CML" by New Jersey's Packer Shoes is inspired by camel hair, its colorway referencing the beast and the desert in which it roams.
This special edition is something of a birthday celebration for the New Balance 999, which is turning 30 this year.
Packer Shoes' spin on this model includes micro-perforated pigskin, reflective paneling, and a healthy dosage of leather.
The New Balance 999 "CML" will release exclusively in-store and online at Packer Shoes on Saturday, Dec. 10, for $150.
