All signs are pointing to a 20th anniversary celebration on the way for the Nike Air Max 97, a flashy sneaker that's often included in discussions of best Air Max models ever. Fittingly, Nike is giving Italy a crack at the sneaker first as a thank you of sorts for the country's constant support of the shoe since its debut.
The Nike Air Max 97 will release first in Italy on Dec. 2, with a Euro release to follow on Dec. 14. There is no info yet on a U.S. release, although the arrival of these nike.com product images bodes well for the shoes arriving in North America.
Nike announced the early return of the Air Max 97 for Italy last week.
