This Black Friday, Jordan Brand is bringing back one of fan's most beloved silhouettes: the Air Jordan 3. Returning in the "True Blue" colorway, this release isn't like any other retro. This upcoming release is true to the original — or at least as close as you can get to it.

Nike pulled this pair of 1988 "True Blue" 3s signed by Michael Jordan out of the vault just to show how close the 2016 release really is to the OGs. With the red sock liner on the tongue and Nike Air on the insoles and heel tab the two are very much alike. Thankfully, blown out midsoles and yellowing aren't included. There are several real differences, though. The 2016 pair has a slightly lower cut at the ankle and a bolder elephant print.

If you weren't lucky enough to secure an early pair on the Nike+ app today, the official release will take place this Black Friday, November 25 at 10 a.m. on Nike SNKRS and other select retailers for $220.
